Content loop
From an action to a topic, draft, QA, logged publication and automatic retest.
On this page
Content turns confirmed improvement actions into articles ready to publish. You start from an action to create a topic, AI writes from frozen, sourced facts, and an independent fact check verifies every statement against its source. PeakGEO produces the content but never publishes it for you. You publish on your own channels, add the live link back, and a retest of the related prompts is scheduled.
The workflow
| Step | What you do | What PeakGEO does |
|---|---|---|
| Topic | Choose New topic on an action | Sets the writing goal, required facts with sources, and citation requirements |
| Write | Choose Generate draft and a writing structure | Produces the title, summary, body, FAQ and page code snippets |
| Fact check | Review results, edit, or ask for targeted edits | Checks every statement against a source |
| Publish | Copy or export, publish yourself, then add the published link | Logs the publication and schedules a retest of related prompts |
Topics start from actions
Only an improvement action in progress can create a topic. Verification actions can't produce content directly: record the finding in the action's Verification and findings tab first, and once new content is confirmed, Analyze next step yields an improvement action. See Actions for the rules.
Each topic includes:
- Facts to include, with sources: drawn only from your saved brand profile and confirmed brand facts, each with its source.
- Citation requirements: authoritative sites to cite, points to compare, target length and channel (Website, Zhihu, Baijiahao).
- Sites AI answers cite: taken from real AI answers to the related prompts, with a link to the original answer and citations. Sources fall into three groups:
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Improve your own page | Your own site; useful for planning website content |
| Third-party publishing opportunity | A recognized third-party site; shows what material is commonly cited for this question |
| Check who owns this site | Ownership unclear; verify it first |
These labels are for planning only. They don't mean you can publish on, or be cited by, a third-party site. AI wording and cited pages are not verified brand facts.
Brand context and facts are frozen when the topic is created. Later edits to the brand profile won't silently change the basis of existing topics.
Writing
Available writing structures: Guide, Comparison, FAQ, Pricing, Case, Information and Ranking. Structures only arrange confirmed facts; they never invent prices, rankings or cases.
A draft contains:
- a title, a summary for AI answers, the body and an FAQ;
- page code snippets (Schema.org JSON-LD and an llms.txt snippet) for your web team to deploy.
Writing runs in the background and moves straight into the fact check when done. If it stops partway, Resume keeps any saved text and only rewrites when nothing was saved.
Fact-check rules
The fact check is separate from writing, and the writing model can't approve its own work:
- every statement in the draft needs a source and must stay within what that source says;
- a single No source statement or any risk flag means Needs fixes;
- claims about prices, features or rankings are checked wherever they appear, including the code snippets;
- View each statement's check shows the original sentence, its source and the verdict.
Edits and new versions
- Edit draft: manual edits clear the previous fact check, so the draft must be checked again.
- Suggest targeted edits: proposes replacements only within the sentences that failed, without rewriting passages that passed. Review the edits, give a reason for accepting, and save them as a new version. The original is kept and the new version needs a fresh fact check.
- Published drafts can't be edited.
Copy, export and publish
Only drafts that pass the fact check (status Ready) can be copied, exported or logged as published:
| Option | Contents |
|---|---|
| Copy article | Title, summary, body and FAQ, without page code snippets |
| Export Markdown | The full package: body, JSON-LD and llms.txt snippets |
| Export HTML | A web version of the title, summary, body and FAQ |
A draft is a sourced first version. Brand voice, legal review, customer permissions and industry compliance still need your sign-off before publishing.
After publishing on your own channel, choose Add published link and enter the article link, channel, publish time and an optional note. Submitting the same link again won't create a second publication record.
Automatic retest after publishing
When you submit the link, PeakGEO moves the linked action to Awaiting retest and schedules a retest of the topic's related prompts only, never unrelated prompts across the brand. When it finishes, compare before and after on Monitoring & retests.
If a retest can't be scheduled yet (for example, there's no diagnosis data to compare), the publication is still recorded and the page shows the reason. You can start a retest manually later.
Publications and AI citations
Publications and AI citations lists each article's version, publish time, related prompts and AI platforms:
- Check live article fetches the link you submitted. Only when the live visible text exactly matches this version is it marked Live article matches.
- Cited by AI after publishing counts only answers in the current diagnosis that came after publication, belong to related prompts and are confirmed as your brand, and it lists what was excluded.
AI citations and retest changes are observations. They aren't necessarily caused by the article. Publishing content doesn't guarantee your brand will be recommended or rank higher.
